things i would do differently or the same
i brought one carry on and one check in. this was perfect. i was able to store my check in bag at my host family in osaka which allowed me to just bring my carry on on short term trips. if possible, i wouldn’t even bring a check in and just bought one there if needed since everything in my check in were souvenirs. although my carry on sucked at rolling; need to get a better one
im really glad i bought a stamp book before arriving. the one i have is the traveler’s notebook (passport size) and it fits in my bag perfectly. i always bring it with me since there are always stamps somewhere. stations, museums, and even onsens. sometimes i would want some sort of souvenir to bring back but i found that stamps to me is one and its free so
